Ural transport engineering plant Uraltransmash (a subsidiary of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) developed a new three-section low-floor tram called R1.
The project, which was jointly implemented with experimental design bureau Atom, is the first fully low-floor tram made in Russia and it is the only such tram in Russia today.
