Pencil is a ceramic bathroom washbasin collection designed
for the Italian company Hatria.
The aesthetic value of the object focuses on an unusual area of the washbasin, the edge. It is an effort to highlight the sculptural value of ceramics, to go out of the search of subtlety and to recount the material by giving it thickness and precence. What gives the character is the “roof” on the edge, a tip that moves along the entire perimeter that remembers the processing of solid materials such.
