Artists Hussain Almossawi and Quintin Williams have, and they’ve brought their Ninja Turtle Shoes concept design to the world.
This project is not intended to be a design of a real shoe, but a case study of what it would look like to design for non-humans, and in this case, the Ninja Turtles. The Ninja Turtle Shoes are molded to the two-toed amphibious foot of the full-grown Ninja Turtle, so don’t hold your breath waiting for them to become available to the general public in this wedge of the reality pie. But on just a visual level, they look great, with subtle touches like the “ribbon” meant to evoke the team’s signature bandanna face masks.
Sadly, this is just an art project for the two designers, so it’s not a real sneaker that you can purchase.
